An important role in Bac Ninh's economic ecosystem
At the conference, Pham Van Thinh, Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh City People's Committee, noted that the Republic of Korea is one of the city's important partners and holds a special place in Bac Ninh's development. Korean enterprises have brought not only capital, jobs and export turnover, but have also contributed to technology transfer, modern management methods and the formation of a network of satellite enterprises.
Bac Ninh is working towards a modern, green and smart industrial and service city, a growth pole of the North and of the country, and a major centre for electronics, high technology, semiconductors, logistics and innovation. The city commits to ensuring a stable power supply for production, continuing to improve the investment environment, accelerating infrastructure development and promptly resolving difficulties within its authority.

As of 31 August 2026, Bac Ninh had 3,695 FDI projects with total adjusted registered capital of about USD 51.56 billion. Korean investors alone account for about 1,165 projects with total registered capital of USD 16.7 billion, ranking first among 47 countries and territories by investment capital in Bac Ninh, with names such as Samsung Display, Samsung Electronics Vietnam, Amkor and Hana Micron Vina.
In the coming period, alongside manufacturing and assembly, R&D, integrated circuit design, artificial intelligence, semiconductor packaging and testing, automation, robotics, data centres and smart logistics are identified as new growth spaces.

Accompanying Korean investment
Mr Ko Tae Yeon, Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Business in Vietnam (Kocham), expressed confidence that Bac Ninh becoming a city is an important milestone on its way to becoming an international economic city for high technology and innovation. The Korean business community hopes to continue receiving the city's support on taxation, customs, fire prevention and fighting safety, human resources and the essential conditions for business operations.

Bac Ninh City has established a Korea Investment Promotion and Support Team headed by Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh. The team coordinates investment promotion and connection activities, and receives, compiles and coordinates the handling of difficulties and obstacles faced by Korean enterprises in investment, production and business.
